Bali Airport Digital Signage
QMS MEDIA
Bali Airport (Denpasar) is one of the busiest airports in Indonesia with an estimated 15-25 million passengers each year. With many different media companies operating within the terminals, QMS Media (trading as IAM) needed their advertising signage to stand out from the crowd and establish themselves as market leaders in the region.
The brief was to design custom video wall and portrait digital displays (MUPIs) that would be situated at baggage carousels and other key locations throughout the terminals. Our goal was to develop signs that utilised high quality modern materials and components, but still retained traditional Balinese styling cues.
In total 40 single and double sided MUPIs were built in addition to 8 double sided carousel video walls. To ensure the highest level of quality all parts were manufactured, assembled, and tested in Australia before shipping to Bali. Custom packaging was designed to protect the units during various modes of transportation to reach their final destination.
The high volume of passengers and strict security measures within the terminals made the commercial deployment of these units particularly challenging. Despite the challenges faced by the installation technicians, they were able to deploy all 40 MUPIs and 8 carousel video walls in only 4 days.
